Renaldo Lapuz, Simon Cowell’s Filipino ‘Brother’ on American Idol
Filipino Renaldo Lapuz has taken American Idol by storm, in the "William Hung" way. Renaldo not only composed an original song for his audition, but he also got Randy to sing with him, Paula to dance, and Simon to say that he could have a hit on his hands!
Renaldo says he’s honored to be compared to William Hung. He was interviewed on Access Hollywood, and his song already has a dance remix.
Here are the lyrics to his song, "We’re Brothers Forever":
“We’re Brothers Forever” Lyrics
by Renaldo Lapuz“I am your brother
Your best friend forever
Singing the songs
The music that you like
We’re brothers til the end of time
Together forever til the end of time
I am your brother
Your best friend forever
Singing the songs
The music that you like
We’re brothers til the end of time
Together or not, you’re always in my heart
Your hurting feelings
Will reign no more.”(repeat over and over)
Though Renaldo didn’t make it to the next level, he obviously is grateful for the chance to be heard. He’s brought laughter to many people, just by being himself. His song is all over the internet (ringtones, anyone?)…. (I can’t get it out of my head (ack!)). So, our happy wishes to Renaldo for his moment in the sun!
