"Lobo" the finale episodes

You saw how it ended. Now watch it again.
One of the most followed Filipino teleseries this year, “Lobo“ended its run last  July 11, 2008. Viewers cried for an hour and even through the commercials, as Lyka Raymundo (Angel Locsin) and Noah Ortega (Piolo Pascual) fought for their love one last time.
It was dramatic, unforgettable and oh-so Filipino. The death scenes – at some point I wanted to say “die already”, but I so wanted the characters to survive what could possibly be the longest dying segment. Not to belittle the actors, but they were very convincing and actually brought …read more

Soon-to-be dad (?) Ryan Agoncillo to host "Pinoy Fear Factor"

Soon-to-be dad (?) Ryan Agoncillo to host "Pinoy Fear Factor"

When the reality show “Fear Factor” was shown in the US two years ago, it got me glued to the TV while contestants jumped between swerving trucks, ate crawling, slimy bugs and bulls’ testicles. It was all about conquering one’s worst fears.
Well now, Filipino viewers can see what fearless means for their fellow Pinoys in the new show “Pinoy Fear Factor: South America“. And between outcries of “kadiri! (gross!)”, “Kaya mo ba yan? (can you do that?!)”, we can swoon all we like at new host Ryan Agoncillo.
Ryan Agoncillo wanted the hosting job so bad he even auditioned for …read more

ABS-CBN’s Fear Factor Philippines

“Fear Factor” that other reality show on television asking its contestants to do breathtaking (and vomit-inducing) stunts to win a quarter million dollars.. well, it’s coming to town too.
Not to be left behind, ABS-CBN has acquired the rights to air “Fear Factor Live” Philippines edition. It’s too early in the game to know the title but those three words  – Fear, Factor, Philippines – will be there. Stampede at ULTRA

The Philippines mourned this weekend for the many deaths caused by the Ultra stampede.
Yes, ladies and gentlemen. STAMPEDE.
ABS-CBN’s noontime show Wowowee was supposed to celebrate its 1st anniversary on Saturday, February 4. The show promised big money prizes to its live audience. Naturally, people from all walks of life, from different parts of the country went to the Ultra Sports Complex in Pasig City that fateful morning. People who dreamt and hoped of bringing home cash prizes.
Some dream. Only to end in tragedy. May God bless their souls.
