American Idol season 7 finalists Ramiele Malubay and Daniel Noriega will be in the Philippines come December to guest in the Ogie Alcasid Concert.
Billed as “Ogie Sings with the Idols”, the 2-day concert on December 20-21 will showcase the talents of the two Filipino Americans who got into the coveted top 24 finalist of the American Idol season 7. Also to guest star is Gretchen Espina, the first Pinoy Idol and Robby Navarro, Ogie’s personal favorite among the Pinoy Idol finalists.

The 2008 winner of “American Idol” David Cook is going to the Philippines!
It was a snippet of information, but because it came from the rocker’s mouth, it had to be true. David Cook was interviewed by ChumFM in Canada as part of his scheduled visit to Toronto, as part of the “American Idol” Tour.

He may have been excluded from the American Idol competition, but Renaldo Lapuz isn’t going away anytime soon. In fact, his composition, “We’re Brothers Forever”, and feel na feel rendition landed him a two-commercial deal with AT&T. He even has his own website, and he’s doing the rounds of public appearances, including one at the brand new Pro Baseball stadium in Grand Prairie, Texas on May 27th.

They come from all walks of life, this smorgasbord of contestants, but they have one thing in mind – to outperform the other 23 and be called Pinoy Idol 2008!
Pinoy Idol 2008, this time under the GMA-7 banner, is hosted by the cool dude Raymond Gutierrez. AND it boasts of judges who really know their craft with Ogie Alcasid, Jolina Magdangal, and Wyngard Tracy. No doubt Ogie will be extra fun(ny) to watch, but I wonder if there’s a “Simon-Cowell” in the panel.

Just weeks after losing in American Idol, the rock star Chris Daughtry was releasing the fastest fastest selling debut rock album, shooting up at the Billboard’s #1 spot.
