Philippine Dancing Inmates pay tribute to "Macarena" (Jon Secada Remix)

Is the “Macarena” really that old already? It’s been fifteen years since this group line dance was popularized. The Los del Rio, who originally sang the song, did a remix featuring Jon Secada.
Courtesy of the Los del Rio, The Philippine Dancing Inmates get the honor of dancing to the “Macarena” remix a month before it’s launch in the US. Awesome!

Aren’t they having a blast! The prisoners ended their show by teaching the audience some macarena move. How’s that for prison life?

The Dancing Inmates perform "Low"

No introduction needed for this all-boys band, you already know what they can do!
Here are the Dancing Inmates again, performing “Low”. But check this out as the camera pans, even a “lolo” (grandfather) can do the moves with coolness!

The inmates are now performing every month, so watch out for another round of dance this August!

Philippines’ dancing inmates "I Need a Hero"

Philippines’ dancing inmates "I Need a Hero"

This is the most fun I have watching a dancing video! All six minutes of it and I was just impressed!

It is the oldest city in the Philippines, and reminders of its age are everywhere – from the historical landmarks that jut all over the city and its surrounding islands, to the architecture along the old markets and streets. The city is an eclectic mix of old and new and I’ve never bored going there. One corner, all you see are Spanish-inspired homes and the next are all-glass office spaces.
We used to live in old Lutopan, at the time when …read more

Feast of Sto. Niño

Feast of Sto. Niño

My father had a Santo Niño collection. I guess for children being raised as Catholic, it was easier to relate to Jesus if we can imagine him as a child.
In the Philippines the 3rd Sunday of January (this year, 15th January) is the feast of the Santo Niño in several parts of the country: (the original) ati-atihan in Kalibo (Aklan), the ati-atihan in Cadiz City (Negros Occidental), in Tondo and in Nayong Pilipino (Manila), the Dinagyang in Iloilo City, and the centuries-old Sinulog in Cebu.
Cebu, the Philippines’ Queen City of the South, celebrates the Sinulog Festival, coinciding with the feast …read more
