  The French have discovered the Philippines!

For two years in a row now, the Philippines has played host to the reality show “Koh Lanta”, the French franchise of the American show “Survivor”. El Nido, Palawan was the site of the first season in 2006, and one year later the show’s producers went to Caramoan, Camarines Sur with a new batch of competitors. Through online voting, the New Seven Wonders Foundation is looking for sites that will eventually become the “New Seven Wonders of Nature“. The purpose of the search is “to create public awareness and contribute to the protection of the world’s natural heritage and foster respect for cultural diversity.”
Anyone can vote for their favorite nature sites until December 31, 2008. When the poll closes, the top 77 will be submitted to a panel of experts who will decide on 21 finalists by January 2009.
