Manny Pacquiao has a big fight this coming December. He will face no other than his boyhood idol Oscar de la Hoya at the MGM Grand Hotel on December 6, 2008.
After that fight, Manny says that he will have two more, and then retire in 2009.

One more day and we’ll get a chance to cheer for our countrymen in the Beijing Olympics!
There is once again lots of excitement and anticipation. Would this be the year that the Philippines will win its first Olympic gold? The Philippine government has put together a special monetary incentive for our athletes to aim for the gold. The latest report has the figure at 15 million pesos ($344,700).

We’ve featured pool genius Efren “Bata” Reyes here a few times, as he competes in (and wins) billiards championships all over the world. A lot of Filipinos know who he is. They’ve watched him perform his magic with a cue stick, and might even remember a commercial he did for San Miguel beer.
