Last week, at the end of episode 30 of Survivor Philipines, it was hinted that this would be the week of the merger between tribes Naak and Jarakay.
Episode 31, which aired on October 27, 2008, opened with Naak discussing the Jarakay tribe. Kiko said that he valued a tribe member’s positive attitude toward the tribe more than his usefulness.
After the Tribal Council
The guys of Jarakay talked about how Jace had looked much thinner. Kaye and Zita said that Nikki had wanted to leave the island and might have asked her tribe mates to vote her out.

Day 18 of Survivor Philippines dawned on episode 29, which aired on October 23, 2008.
Charisse had taken the initiative of gathering clams, snails and crabs for their food. While their food was cooking, the castaways wrote their letters to their loved ones. Nikki expressed her desire for good home-cooked food.
In Naak, Zita showed them another food item in their camp, talisay, which had such a tiny edible portion.

Episode 28 showed a recap of the previous episode where Marlon and Jace were bonding by the beach. Back in the Jarakay camp, Jace admits to having lost his motivation to find food or help out. He figured it was because of stress and mental fatigue. But Jace’s inactivity was interpreted a different way by Marlon, and that Jace was just feeling too important to help out. Marlon was the one who was working to maintain their camp.

After a very dirty challenge in the last episode of Survivor Philippines, Naak won the reward challenge. Host Paolo Bediones called their effort “high-performance” and gave them their prize, a real bath with soap, shampoo and the works!
In Episode 27, which aired on October 21, 2008, Naak was shown enjoying their first real bath since they arrived on the island. This week in Survivor Philippines starts with Episode 26, which aired on October 20, 2008. Eleven  castaways are left from the original 18. Jarakay has 5 (Charisse, Jace, Marlon, Nikki and Vern) and Naak has 6 (Cris, JC, Kaye, Kiko, Rob and Zita).
Missing a Friend
The atmosphere in Jarakay was decidedly somber after John’s departure. Jace, especially, seemed lethargic and clearly missed his friend. According to Vern and Marlon, Jace seemed to have lost his motivation to do anything in the camp.

Faced with unrelenting rain and cold, Naak and Jarakay made the best of their situations. In the previous episode of Survivor Philippines, Naak, which had immunity for this week, focused on improving their camp to better withstand the elements. Jarakay, on the other hand, also had the Tribal Council to face.

After Naak won immunity at the last challenge in Survivor Philippines, Jarakay went back to camp nursing their disappointment.
Episode 24, starting with Day 14 on the island, was aired in the Philippines on October 16, 2008.
Jarakay discussed their loss. Marlon expressed his amazement that his teammates did not have enough stamina to win, and that he could have gone on. His words were, “Talagang natunaw kayo kanina.” (You really melted earlier). It did not go down well with Jace and John, who were in front of the team.

After their feast of lechon de leche, the Naak tribe of Survivor Philippines was strengthened and encouraged for the next Immunity Challenge. They didn’t want to have to lose another of their members to the Tribal Council. Meanwhile, Jarakay also had much motivation to win this challenge and avenge the hunger they had to endure while Naak was feasting.

Episode 22 of Survivor Philippines aired on October 14, 2008.
After winning a meal of lechon de leche, rice and sauce at the last challenge of Survivor Philippines, the Naak tribe was given 30 minutes to enjoy their reward. Jarakay had to stay by the table, and endure the sights and sounds of Naak’s feast.
The situation caused a bit of tension between Naak’s Kiko and Rob. Rob so enjoyed the meal and accompanied it with loud comments about the good food, which Kiko found to be insensitive toward Jarakay. This was specially after the way Naak was welcomed by Jarakay …read more
