Survivor Philippines Episode 31: The Happiest Day

Last week, at the end of episode 30 of Survivor Philipines, it was hinted that this would be the week of the merger between tribes Naak and Jarakay.
Episode 31, which aired on October 27, 2008, opened with Naak discussing the Jarakay tribe. Kiko said that he valued a tribe member’s positive attitude toward the tribe more than his usefulness.
After the Tribal Council
The guys of Jarakay talked about how Jace had looked much thinner. Kaye and Zita said that Nikki had wanted to leave the island and might have asked her tribe mates to vote her out.

Episode 28 showed a recap of the previous episode where Marlon and Jace were bonding by the beach. Back in the Jarakay camp, Jace admits to having lost his motivation to find food or help out. After a very dirty challenge in the last episode of Survivor Philippines, Naak won the reward challenge. Host Paolo Bediones called their effort “high-performance” and gave them their prize, a real bath with soap, shampoo and the works!

This week in Survivor Philippines starts with Episode 26, which aired on October 20, 2008. Eleven  castaways are left from the original 18. Jarakay has 5 (Charisse, Jace, Marlon, Nikki and Vern) and Naak has 6 (Cris, JC, Kaye, Kiko, Rob and Zita).
Missing a Friend
The atmosphere in Jarakay was decidedly somber after John’s departure. Jace, especially, seemed lethargic and clearly missed his friend. According to Vern and Marlon, Jace seemed to have lost his motivation to do anything in the camp.

After winning a meal of lechon de leche, rice and sauce at the last challenge of Survivor Philippines, the Naak tribe was given 30 minutes to enjoy their reward. Jarakay had to stay by the table, and endure the sights and sounds of Naak’s feast.
