Two Filipinas in 2007 Miss Universe Pageant
When was the last time you saw two Filipinas in the same Miss Universe Pageant?
This year’s contest in Mexico City will give us all that rare chance, as two Filipinas compete for the crown next month.
Aside from Binibining Pilipinas Anna Theresa Licaros (above), who will represent the Philippines, reigning Mutya ng Pilipinas Kirby Ann Basken will also join the international beauty contest.
But the 21-year-old Basken will represent her “other” country, Norway, following her coronation as Fröken Norge-Miss Universe last Monday.
I’ll cheer first for Licaros, of course, but if Basken wins, I’ll be happy too!
Oh, btw, did you know that Licaros is a summa cum laude graduate of U.P. Diliman? Beauty and a whole lot of brains!

actually..there are 3 Filipinas in Miss Universe 2007..the 3rd one is Miss Germany (her father is a Filipino)!

Make that four Filipinas. Aside from our very own Miss Philippines, there is of course Miss Norway $ Miss Germany. The fourth is the Co-Host of the actual event as Vanessa Minillo a former Miss Teen USA and half Filipina has just be chosen to host he pageant.

i like Anna Theresa Licaros more. She is perfect to be the third filipina to win the Miss Universe. She has the beauty and the brains. But if Miss Norway or Miss Germany wins it’s okay it’s our pride too but it’s different if Licaros wins.

INDIA is supreme in terms of BEAUTY. They have 4 Miss World, 2 Miss Universe and FORD’s Super Model of the World winner. They made it again sa top 10. Talo ang pinay sa pagandahan. We only have to rely for text votes to win… I am sad. Thanks to Miss Japan. Asians are proud of you…
