What are the Asia Blog Awards?
“Asia” is a continent. “Blog” refers a website published using one of several available online publishing tools. “Award” is a prize or mark or recognition. This site is a means to provide “awards” to “blogs” that are published by, in, or about “Asia.”Previous ABAs were hosted by Simon World and Flying Chair (see Flagrant Harbour). This edition is started by AsiaPundit, and we hope it has a long life after APHow is scoring being determined?
Scoring for the contest is determined by voter choice, judges’ choice and Technorati ranking. All will be given equal weighting.This is a quarterly contest and final winners will not be tallied until after the final round in 2007. The initial nomiantions are for the first quarter only. New nominations will be accepted quarterly.
Will there be prizes?
Nominees wil mostly just get extra just traffic and the appreciation peers.
We have been approached by one potential sponsor and are soliciting others. In the unlikely event the Adsense box on the right sidebar produces enough revenue by year end we may use that for some cheap token prizes.
How can I vote?
E-mail registration is required to participate. Your address will not be sold, given away or used for spamming. All collected addresses wil be destroyed within one month after the close of polling.
