What’s UP, Los Baños?
In my search for photos of Milenyo’s aftermath sometime last week, I came across a blog which I believe will delight my fellow UPLB alumni. Written by “a batch 90-something UPLB grad who is back in LB for graduate studies”, What’s UP, Los Baños? is a very new blog, barely three months old. It still needs a bit of work, but I cannot help but be drawn to it because of the memories it evokes in me. If you’re an LB alum, you understand. ;)
Here’s what the author has to say about it:
Why this blog? I got this idea when I met my blockmates last August. We always get back to reminiscing our UPLB days - teachers, classes, escapades, org as well as our crushes then. This brings me back in college, I was at SU during the Loyalty Day celebration and there was a group of alumni who made it a point to eat at the coffeeshop at SU because that was were they used to eat. And yes, my friends and I would get to talk about the things that used to be and what we have now. I got this idea that it would be good to know how was life in UPLB then (maybe how different…). Our memories of UPLB would be defined by the years we were there, the decade, the politics of our time, the fashion and the music… Let’s bridge the gap between years - share what was UPLB in your time, get a glimpse of what UPLB was for others and enjoy what is UPLB now.

sapsap? that’s what the sapsap fish told me! I want to share about UPLB. I am not an alumni of UPLB. I’m just an ordinary guy who loves this place because its my second home. I am from San Pablo City. It so happen that we have a small comp. shop here in UPLB.
